Ivory Ct. 921, Marco Island Vacation Rental

We enjoyed our week long stay. The house had a lot of positives. Great layout for the bedrooms and bathrooms. The office with a door that closed was perfect for working from home. The pool and outside area was perfect for eating, laying in the sun, and swimming. The house was surface clean, but could use some TLC. The light switches, walls, front door, floor corners, fridge water dispenser were all dirty. W had ants and saw one cockroach. The outside has a lot of spiders . We’ve been renting houses in Marco for 10 years and I haven’t seen spiders that bad. They definitely need to supply more amenities for guests. They had the basics and that’s it. No storage containers for leftover food, no cooler for the beach, the kitchen knives were full and didn’t cut anything. Overall I’m place, but could easily be upgraded with some small changes.

We had a very nice stay. The house was clean and comfortable but lacked some of the things that make a stay more enjoyable (no bikes or kayaks) and the home could use a handyman for a day replacing a loose door screw, repairing missing grout, fixing the leaking pool pump. The wine glass selection was extremely limited. the home does not have a smart TV so streaming would require bringing your own Roku or FireTV.

We were excited to stay at 921 Ivory Court prior to our arrival. From the street, the house looked very nice. Our first indication that the house may not be up to par with our standards was when we saw the rust on the front door and the mold on the pillar at the entrance. We were only there a short time when we made the following discoveries: 1). There was a leak under the kitchen sink; 2). The appliances were cheap, old, cracked and rusty in spots; 3) There was mold in the showers; 4) The blinds on the door to the pool from the 2nd bathroom was in need of replacement; 5). The glassware was minimal and old as was the plates and the silverware; 6) COCKROACHES were seen MULTIPLE times and I could go on and on!!!!! I am a Real Estate Agent and I can’t imagine that an Agent from Island Escapes toured/inspected this property thoroughly and gave it a 4.5 rating!!! Any home you agree to rent should be required to be carefully inspected for all the above mentioned issues as well as provide a Pest Inspection Report in the package to include and be treated for all pests and evidence of COCKROACHES!
I feel we were way OVERCHARGED for the rental of 921 Ivory Court!!!!!!! Also, we called regarding the kitchen leak twice and after 2-3 days received an email regarding the leak and was told they left a phone message that was probably left at our HOME phone in CT when we were on vacation in Florida!!!! We called a third time and left a message that we would continue emptying the pot of leaking water under the sink with all the rusted pipes until we left the premises.............

Everything was perfect. From the moment we picked up the key till the moment we returned it. The Wi-Fi was not working and Kyle was on the phone troubleshooting and followed up afterwards to make sure everything was good. I needed some help with my confirmation before the trip, and I called the office and was greeted kindly and treated, very well. I can’t say enough about our trip or the management company. Highly recommend!

The pool is positioned with a view of the Canal. Beautiful sun rise overlooking the pool, canal and palm trees.

Setup of the home is great, awesome common spaces both inside and out. Location of the home is almost exactly a one mile walk to the beach and there is parking, if you look for it near each beach entrance (there are four public beach access points).

The home way more than enough towels and extra bedding / blankets. Plus all of the normal kitchen stuff.

The home had a handful of small things we ended up purchasing or left out to be fixed for the next person, e.g., there were no glass wine glasses, the dish drainer was rusty, and one lamp was broken. All now fixed or purchased new. Also missing a wet mop. The master has very small, what I would call slab ants. This is a very fixable thing too with the right exterminator. It didn't bother us as it was only near the huge tube in the master and not the shower.
