Treasure Ct. 1258, Marco Island Vacation Rental

We recently rented this house with high hopes of having three spacious king bedrooms and two full baths, as advertised. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met during our stay. We were a group of three large adults, all of whom needed king-sized beds, but were left disappointed to find out that this was not the case. Additionally, one of the bedrooms, which was supposed to have a king bed, that had of course a queen bed instead. To make matters worse, after the first night, we discovered a leak in the ceiling of this bedroom caused by plumbing issues. Despite my husband being a plumber and affirming that the issue was plumbing-related, the bedroom became unusable. This created a major inconvenience for us as the main bathroom was unavailable. The only other two bathrooms were accessible through bedrooms, seriously compromising our privacy.
Furthermore, we were unable to fully enjoy the pool until Friday as the heat had not been turned on. Although we received a credit for the pool fee, it was still a hassle and limited our usage of the pool for a significant portion of our stay. On top of that, we rented a boat with the expectation of being able to tie it up to the dock, but were told by the boat provider that it was unsafe to do so. This caused yet another inconvenience and added frustration to our trip.
Moreover, most of the appliances in the house appeared to be worn out and in poor condition. One of the refrigerator shelves kept falling out, and the dishwasher had to be repositioned in order to properly shut it. By Friday, the lights in the downstairs bathroom were dimmed, and approximately half of the lights in the house were burnt out.
Overall, our experience at this rental house was filled with numerous issues and false advertisement. Not only were the rooms and bathrooms misrepresented, but we were forced to accommodate our children by having them sleep on a couch. Dealing with these problems and stresses throughout our stay overshadowed any

The house itself has very unique architecture and layout. It accommodated our large group well. We enjoyed the full wrap around balcony and the beautiful sunset views. The owners were kind enough to let us check in early, which was greatly appreciated. However, we quickly ran into many things that needed to be repaired, projects that were left incomplete and worn items that needed to be replaced. These things took away from the appeal of the property. On top of all this the pool was dirty and the garbage cans were full upon arrival. The property owners should consider investing in better upkeep and maintenance of their property.
